Conducted National Adult Learner Leadership Institutes every two years since 1999
Conducted Leadership Training in 11 states and counting
Helped form or improve state learner organizations in six states and counting
Represented the views of adult learners on the National Coalition for Literacy since 1999
Educated federal policy-makers about adult literacy from the consumer perspective every year since 2001

Provided technical assistance to state and local programs around the country through our National Resource Center on Adult Learner Involvement and Leadership continuously since 2001
Helped many other literacy organizations organize and put on workshops for adult learners in their state, regional, and national conferences continuously since 2001
Assisted national news media with their background research on adult literacy and connect them with suitable adult learners for interviews and feature stories
Co-sponsored the Literacy President Initiative and continue to do so

Produced a Core Leadership Training Manual and developed a two-day training based on that manual
