Why is every other Institute held in the Washington DC area?

Every other Leadership Institute is held in the Greater Washington DC metro area, so learner leaders from around the country can exchange information with federal policy-makers. In addition to workshops and opportunities to share and network amongst ourselves, we hold events on Capitol Hill and meet with Administration officials.
