Where have past Institutes been held and who were your partners? The first VALUE National Adult Learner Leadership Institute was held in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1999; partners included the Indiana Literacy Coalition and the Indiana Literacy Foundation. In 2001, the Institute was held in Columbus, Ohio and partners included the Ohio Association for Adult and Continuing Education; the Ohio Department of Education; the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections; the Ohio Literacy Network; and the Ohio Literacy Resource Center.
In 2003, the Leadership Institute was held in Orlando, Florida and our institutional partner was the Florida Literacy Coalition.
In 2005, it was held in Washington, DC and partners included the American Library Association's Office of Literacy and Outreach Services; D.C. LEARNs, the District's literacy coalition; the D.C. Public Library; the National Adult Education Professional Development Consortium; and Pennsylvania's Southeast Professional Development Center.
In 2007, the Institute was held in Hartford, Connecticut and our institutional partner was the Greater Hartford Literacy Council.
